Singing..Oh! and Singing
Hello been a while but I am still here...
So I had some New Year's resolutions.. and you thought I'd gone quiet because I stacked it.. Oh no.. I Substacked it..
I now have three followers on Substack. I don't post a lot but if you want to see how the 2026 promises are going.. check in.
Lots of gigs for me and the 'effers over the summer.. so many weddings and now that my Achillies has healed
:-O I am back in some of my favourite silly shoes.
Original Stuff
BBC Radio Kent has played Daisy Dance a couple of times.. which is nice.. This track is all about being nosey and making a whimsical love story about a couple of people I saw in the park.
I don't know how anyone makes money from original music and CHOUETTE is not going to make me rich any time soon.
However, I have loved to see the top track playing on Spotify from month to month. This month our top track is Mr Pink - all about the wonderful Breton Pink who lived in the technicolour house at the top of Loampit Hill in Lewisham.
Who was Mr Pink
A wonderful little Film by Helen Appio will tell you more about Breton Pink.
Listen to Mr Pink on Spotify or wherever you get your music. Or, if you are feeling flushed buy a song or two or even an album on Bandcamp as more money goes to the artists.
Chouette went international earlier this year with an invitation to play at the nicest theatre in Switzerland with Frances Knight and Matt Miles.
Bennett & Knight also rocked up as a trio with Matt Miles at The House in Ramsgate in October.. What a lovely warm reception for our original set. It was great to answer questions and chat about the stories that helped create the songs on our first two EPs
Band Round Up
Project F - are playing Denton Music Club on 30th October.. Its spooky season so I will dress accordingly... but you don't have to. But you should.. but you really don't have to.

Spotlight
I've taken up residency at The House at Ramsgate
The House is building an intimate monthly Jazz evening hosted by me.. I bring a changing line up of musicians and present a different offering each month from original music to Jazz standards..
The food offer is five star fabulous, local and fresh. Oh and the puddings are divine. I sing and chat as usual and we laugh about the week that was.
November I will be joined by Anthony Coote (Guitar) and Cyril Manuel (Bass).
Book a table if you would like to eat or just have a drink or two at the bar.
